Bridging the Gap
Between business and tech

Operations Executive with a Engineering background.

I scale fintech infrastructure through technical depth and strategic clarity.

In Fintech, operational problems often have technical roots. My career is a strategic mix: building distributed payment systems (Mercado Libre, TECRO) and leading operations and strategy (COO, Board Member).

I can read technical documentation, design system architecture for new projects, and develop comprehensive business plans—understanding how today's technical decisions shape tomorrow's operational costs and strategic opportunities.

The Market Gap

The fastest-growing fintechs share a common trait: they invest heavily in technology and think in terms of scalability, data infrastructure, and automation. Traditional financial services resist this shift—viewing tech as a cost center rather than a strategic asset.

The result? Legacy players struggle with data quality, regulatory compliance, and operational inefficiencies. They lack the technical foundation to compete in a market where speed, reliability, and data-driven decisions are table stakes.

My Approach

I build operations with an engineer's mindset: focused on distributed systems, fault tolerance, and scalability. I bridge the gap between technical execution and business strategy.

My Track Record

The Scale (Mercado Libre)

Engineered backend systems for Latam's largest e-commerce platform. I managed high-availability infrastructure and learned what operational excellence looks like when processing millions of daily transactions.

The Build (TECRO)

As a developer, I implemented ISO 8583 protocols and routing engines. As COO, I built the entire back-office from scratch (Finance, HR, Commercial), scaling the team from 30 to 60 people while establishing operational processes that ensured profitability and compliance.

The Strategy (Board Member)

Today, I translate technical complexity into business strategy, defining technology roadmaps and evaluating technical risk in strategic decisions.

Always Investigating

I'm currently exploring how OpenFinance and OpenBanking are reshaping financial infrastructure—not just as technology shifts, but as fundamental changes to operational models.

These aren't new topics globally, but emerging markets are just now catching the wave, and even mature markets like the US are still defining the standards.
